There remains an unprecedented surge of cyber-crimes in India in which the internet today plays a pivotal role. While the vast knowledge it offers can be termed a use, it does pose major threat in the form of cyber abuse, cyber bullying and cyber-crime.

 

As a part of DigiLit Jesus & Mary College’s first ever event, Xavion’21, the team called upon victims to share their fears, experiences and lessons. Stories could include instances of social media bullying, net banking fraud, loss/misuse of personal data, etc. These anecdotes not only helped us understand the grave threat that the internet poses today but also encouraged us to come together and fight against the evil that is present online.
